Britannia Engineering was established in 1977 in Dartmouth, Devon.

The company specialises in precision marine engineering.

Using the equipment we have such as the centre lathes, mills and grinders we are able to produce a wide range of different components for the crabbing industry.

We have done many years work in the marine trade, both industrial and private.

A good example are the around the world challenge sail boats that set sail every four years for which we provide a wide range of different parts.

Since the outset of the business we have worked closely with the fisherman and produced large quantity of specialist equipment to suit their needs.

This includes a range of Britannia Slave hauler systems which can be used on boats ranging from 20 to 90 feet. These units can be supplied including hydraulic motors and clutch assemblies, to suit the required equipment.

We also stock a large quantity of spares to suit our equipment and the needs of the fishing industry. Since the start of our slave systems we have gone from supplying the local boats to boat all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In the future we are looking to increase he size of the business to include fabrication facilities and installations.
